Our family needs your help in our problem. We have
come to Moscow from the Krasnaya Gorka settlement in the Arkhangelsk region.
My little Angelina is four years old. She has sarcoma of the right femur,
and endoprosthetic surgery of her right hip joint is to take place
soon. It is a limb-salvaging surgery, which will enable Angelina
to walk in future. We are a very poor family. I am a cloakroom
attendant at a secondary school, with a monthly salary about $80.
Angelina's father works as a timber-cutter, but this job is
seasonal: the roads are not functioning in spring and autumn, and
there is no work for him during these seasons.
Angelina has been unable to walk since February 2007.
Now we have a chance to cure our daughter and to save her leg. But we
cannot buy this endoprosthesis ourselves! We don't yet know its exact cost,
but it will be about 750,000 roubles ($29,400). We hope that you
will help us save our Angelina and she will yet run and laugh with joy.

The doctor's comment
Angelina Voznyuk, born 2003, is a patient
of the Department of Oncology. The child has been ill since February 2007.
Her diagnosis is osteogenic sarcoma of right femur, stage 2. Open
biopsy of the tumor in her right hip was performed in April 2007.
The girl has had five chemotherapy courses. We are planning to
continue the chemotherapy and to perform a limb-salvaging surgery:
resection of the right femur and endoprosthetics of the right hip
joint with an extendable modular endoprosthesis of German
production. Such an appliance will cost up to 800,000 roubles ($31,370).
