Katya Uvarova's mother is asking for your help!
29.02.00 On the 27th of February, Katyusha Uvarova died. After so many deaths, it is impossible to find any words...

Katya Uvarova I'm asking for your help for my daughter. Our Katya, 6 years old, was diagnosed with a horrible disease - acute lymphoblastic leikosis. She first got sick in 1997 when she was 2 years old. We underwent treatment in Tula, and a year and a half after the treatment, she was well. But again this plight recurred when she was diagnosed with the disease again, this time leukosis in its late stage. This time treatment was much more difficult and lengthy. We had to undergo ten sessions of chemotherapy and radiation. And we thought it was OVER! Katya was able to go home. How much joy there was in our whole family, Katya, her Grandma, her brother Vova. You know, Katya is such a bright, able, wonderful child! She is very sprightly, likes to dance, reads and writes well, likes children's crosswords. We didn't spend home even three weeks. Suddenly, little bruises appeared on Katya's legs, and we immediately went to Moscow for analyses, and they showed that the disease came back, this time in early stages.
But there is still hope - a bone marrow transplantation. Katya's brother, Vova, is her twin, and if he is suitable as a donor, an operation will be possible. But before and after the transplantation, there is need for very expensive medications which cost about $15,000. But I and Grandma do not have that kind of money.
We hope that with your help, help of kind and compassionate people, our hopes to save Katya will come true.
With great respect,
Katya's Mom Oksana, Grandma, and brother Vova.
