Orel, 2009 19.10.2009 In the beginning of October 2009, a group of hospital physicians visited Orel within the You Are Not Alone program in order to organize medical consultations for children from local orphanages. The team was headed by Deputy Head Physician Nelli Ignatieva. Other members of the group were Head of the Department of Psychoneurology and Epilepsy E.S. Ilyina, Head of the Department of Ophthalmology I.M. Chinenov, Head of the Department of Endocrinology M.E. Karmanov, Head of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery A.V. Lopatin, and orthopedist I.V. Trubin. The doctors examined 259 children from three orphanages in Orel. Ms. Ignatieva noted that the staff of all these three institutions demonstrated highly professional attitude to organization of everyday life at their orphanages and medical and social aid for children who had been left without parental care. At the Orel Pediatric Clinical Hospital, our specialists examined patients at the Departments of Traumatology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Gynecology, and Neonatal Pathology, and discussed the tactics of their treatment with hospital physicians. As a result of these consultations, 26 children received recommendations for admission to the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital, and soon they will appear in Moscow for examinations and treatment.
