Collost is urgently required

Collost, manufactured by Biopharmholding, is a universal medical agent used in treatment of many serious disorders: burns, cicatricial deformations of skin and soft tissues after burns, slowly healing trophic ulcers, neurovascular ulcers for which traditional treatment is inefficient.
Collost, which is very important for pediatrics, is based on unstructured collagen and produced in various forms.
The Collost gel is applied in the form of injections under the cicatricial tissue, resolving the internal scars; it is also used to close the donor surfaces from which free skin is taken. The 40% gel is used for contour plastics, where the skin is intact but there are defects of subdermal tissues; in this case, it helps adequately distribute cell growth in this region.
- Collost is also produced in the form of plates of various areas. They play a very important role in closure of large wounds. Sometimes we managed to save a child's foot affected by a serious necrosis only thanks to Collost; otherwise, amputation would be inevitable.
- We also use Collost in a combination with bioengineering technologies: growth factor and stem cells.
Fortunately, we have never seen allergic reactions to Collost during the years that we have been using it, although Collost is a protein.
This drug is quite expensive and presently lacking at the hospital.

Presently we need your help in purchasing Collost in order to perform the necessary therapy to several patients of our department after thermal burns. All these children need Collost gel injections for softening and destruction of cicatricial tissue, for improving the mobility of tissues.

Collost for each of these children will cost 50,000 to 60,000 roubles ($1400-1650).

Upon revision, complete rupture of median and ulnar nerves was discovered. The child is to undergo nerve reconstruction in order to restore nerve conduction. The use of nerve growth factor to stimulate the growth and trophism of nerve trunks of left arm is recommended. The reagents and materials cost about 50,000 roubles ($1500).
